Therapy
Sessions for individuals, groups, and parents, with fees kept subsidised according to means and the funding we have.
Ask about referrals →Affordable mental health support and practical training for the Orthodox Jewish community in Canvey Island (Essex), Hackney, and Haringey—so people are not priced out of the help they need.
We are a registered charity set up so that therapy and skills training sit within reach for the Orthodox Jewish community when money is tight or mental health is suffering—especially for young people who need a steadier path into education or work.
Qualified professionals deliver therapy and coaching (including listening skills and confidence for work), with supervision and clear professional standards. We invite enquiries, send an application pack, then use a questionnaire and a fuller conversation to see whether our therapy, courses, or signposting is the right fit.
We work in Essex (Canvey Island), Hackney, and Haringey. Therapy is charged at a subsidised rate according to means and the funding we have—we agree this with each person so cost does not block care.
“Many distraught parents have pleaded for discounts and shorter sessions due to lack of affordability, with many going without the help they need. The inspiration to set up Mind Stars is to encourage those who are vulnerable and reinforce that everyone can shine regardless of their affordability or mental wellbeing.”
“Mind Stars empowers young adults to navigate a world of employment and changes to their environment. With the right mindset and equipped with new skills, young adults feel ready to conquer challenges.”
Services: therapy for individuals, groups, and parents; courses in employability, customer service, office skills, hairdressing, culinary work, floristry, party planning, and work experience—plus coaching toward employment.
In the words we gave to the Charity Commission: we want people’s lives to improve—mental health addressed professionally, and coaching toward work so that suffering eases and people can become contributing, positive members of society. We are new; numbers and annual reports will follow as we grow.
Our charitable purposes are to help people from the Orthodox Jewish community who are in need because of financial hardship and/or poor mental health. Trustees are satisfied this focus is justified in law (including under the Equality Act) where mainstream services do not meet the same cultural and religious needs.

We support people in the Orthodox Jewish community facing financial hardship and/or mental health difficulties. We work alongside NHS and statutory services—we don’t replace them.
To ask about therapy, courses, employment support, volunteering, or partnerships, use the contact box—say whether you are the young person, a parent or carer, or a professional. Therapy is offered at a subsidised rate according to means.
